This walk starts at the Jayaprana trailhead in West Bali National Park and follows the coast through the mangroves. The park counts 28 species of mangrove plant, and kingfishers and monitor lizards live among the roots.
The trail then turns inland into monsoon forest, crossing a river bed that runs only in the wet season. The large trees here are home to grey macaques and the black ebony leaf monkey, and you may see the Bali starling near the mangroves. Walks leave at 07:30 or 15:00 and take two and a half to three hours, with hotel transport, a guide, binoculars, water and the park entrance fee included.
