Who we are
Menjangan is operated by PT Kija Amerta Nusantara, Jl Danau Poso no. 20, Sanur, Bali 80227, Indonesia. For anything in this notice, write to hello@menjangan.com.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through this website, we receive and store what you type into the form:
- Your name and email address, which we need in order to reply.
- Your phone number, if you give one.
- The subject line and message, including any dates and the number of adults and children you tell us about.
- Which page you sent the enquiry from, so we know what you were looking at.
Our hosting also keeps ordinary server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to diagnose faults.
Cookies and tracking
Browsing this website sets no cookies in your browser, and its pages load no third-party scripts, fonts or tracking pixels. The typeface is served from this site itself.
Photographs are delivered from media.menjangan.com, our own subdomain, which is operated for us by Cloudflare. Your browser requests an image and receives an image: no cookie is set, no script runs, and nothing follows you to other websites. Cloudflare receives the IP address that made the request, in the same way any provider serving a file must.
The exception is the administration area, which sets a session cookie so that a signed-in editor stays signed in. That is not part of the public site and it profiles nobody.
We do not currently use analytics or advertising technologies. If we add them — to see which pages are read, or to measure whether an advert brought someone here — this notice will be updated to name each provider and describe what it does before it is used.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
We use what you send us to answer your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to arrange the stay, trips and transfers you have asked for. Where the GDPR applies to you, the basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you have made, and, once you book, the performance of a contract with you.
Who we share it with
Menjangan books accommodation, tours and transport supplied by independent hotels and operators. To arrange a booking we pass on what those suppliers need to hold it, which is normally your name, your dates and the number of people travelling. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for marketing.
The following providers process data on our behalf:
- Vercel — website hosting and server logs.
- Neon — the database where enquiries are stored, hosted in Singapore.
- Cloudflare — image delivery.
- Resend — sending the email that notifies us of your enquiry.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while we are dealing with them and for a period afterwards so that we have a record of what was agreed. [To be confirmed: the retention period the operator wants to apply.]
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@menjangan.com and we will respond. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this notice changes we will update this page. [To be confirmed: whether the operator wants to notify past enquirers of material changes.]
