Who we are, and what we do
This website is operated by PT Kija Amerta Nusantara, Jl Danau Poso no. 20, Sanur, Bali 80227, Indonesia.
Menjangan is a booking agent. The accommodation, tours, activities and transport offered here are provided by independent hotels and operators in north-west Bali and East Java. We gather them, quote for them and book them on your behalf. We do not own the boats, employ the guides or run the rooms, and your trip is delivered by the supplier concerned under their own terms.
Enquiries and quotes
Sending an enquiry does not create a booking. We reply with what is available and what it costs; a booking exists only once we have confirmed it to you in writing and any payment required has been made.
Prices shown on this site are indicative starting prices, quoted in Indonesian rupiah. They move with the season and with availability, and the price we confirm to you is the one that applies.
Payment

Changes and cancellations

Suppliers occasionally cancel or alter a trip, most often because of weather or sea conditions. Boat trips to Menjangan Island and the climb at Ijen are the ones most often affected. Where that happens we will offer an alternative date or a refund of what you paid us for that element.
Activities carry risk
Snorkelling, diving, trekking and boat travel carry inherent risk. You are responsible for judging whether an activity suits your health, fitness and experience, and for telling us and the operator about anything relevant before you travel. Diving requires current certification, and operators may refuse participation on safety grounds.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical treatment, evacuation, and the activities you intend to do. Diving and volcano trekking are excluded from many standard policies.
Our responsibility
We are responsible for arranging your booking with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of the suppliers who deliver it, or for events outside reasonable control, including weather, sea conditions, volcanic activity, transport disruption and changes to national park access. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
National park fees and permits
Trips into West Bali National Park and to Menjangan Island are subject to park entry and conservation fees set by the park authority, and to its rules. Whether those fees are included in a quoted price is stated on each trip. [To be confirmed: the operator's standard position on this.]
Governing law
