The Prapat Agung peninsula, at the western end of West Bali National Park, is open savanna and monsoon forest. The safari crosses it by vehicle, from Tegal Bunder towards Segara Rupek temple, in the afternoon, which is the recommended time for seeing wildlife.
Along the way you may see Javan rusa and barking deer, long-tailed macaques, black ebony leaf monkeys, wild boar, monitor lizards and green junglefowl. The drive stops at the Bali starling conservation and breeding area at Tegal Bunder. Pickup is at 15:00, and a guide, binoculars, refreshments and the park entrance fee are included. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
