Pemuteran's reefs lie a short boat ride from the beach, which makes them easy to combine with other activities on the same day. They are a good choice for a first dive of the trip, a refresher before Menjangan, or a second day in the water.
Dives are led by a local guide and run from the bay by boat, with some sites reached from the shore. Tanks, weights, the guide and a packed lunch are included. Depending on the dive centre, equipment is either included or available to hire.

- All divers complete a medical checklist. Asthma, heart conditions, diabetes or pregnancy need a recent doctor's letter.
- Leave 12 hours after a single dive, and 18 hours after repeat or multi-day diving, before flying.
