Menjangan Island lies just off the north-west tip of Bali, inside West Bali National Park, and its reefs are among the clearest on the island. Visibility regularly reaches thirty metres, and the coral gardens run to the edge of walls that drop away into deep blue, with reef fish, moray eels, giant clams and starfish along the way.

After pickup from your hotel, the boat leaves Banyuwedang at around nine for the short crossing. You snorkel two sites with a guide, stop for lunch, and are back at your hotel in the early afternoon. Boats are shared unless you book a private one, and the park entrance fee, gear, towel, lunch and insurance are all included.
