Menjangan Island has some of the calmest diving in Bali, with little current and visibility up to thirty metres. There are eleven dive sites around the island, including wall dives, so there is enough for several days and for divers of every level.

The boat leaves Banyuwedang at around nine, after pickup from your hotel. You make two guided dives with a surface interval and lunch between them, and are back by early afternoon. Full equipment, tanks and weights, the park entrance fee and insurance are included, and a third dive can be added.

Things to know

  • For certified divers. Bring your certification card.
  • All divers complete a medical checklist. Asthma, heart conditions, diabetes or pregnancy need a recent doctor's letter.
  • Leave 12 hours after a single dive, and 18 hours after repeat or multi-day diving, before flying.
