Waterfalls and Hot Springs

Aling Aling, Munduk and the Banjar hot springs

Day trips6 hoursModerateMunduk

The hills inland from the north coast hold some of Bali's best waterfalls. Aling Aling, near Sambangan, is a chain of around five, with natural pools you can slide into or jump into from ledges of seven, twelve and sixteen metres. Jumping is at your own risk, and the pools are just as good for a swim.

The trip can continue to the Banjar hot springs and the Buddhist temple nearby, or up into the hills around Munduk. It is a half day by private car, about an hour and a half each way from Sumberkima. Entrance fees are paid on the day.
