Sumberkima Bay is sheltered and lined with mangroves, with the mountains behind and the volcanoes of East Java across the water. The boat runs along the mangroves and out to Gili Putih, a small white sand island in the bay.
The trip is best at high tide, when the boat can reach the island. It can include snorkelling and a stop at the reef restoration site, and part of the fare supports that project. Each boat takes up to eight people.
