Equipment provided
The Rescue Diver course teaches you to recognise stress in yourself and other divers, to prevent problems before they start, and to respond when they do, from assisting a tired diver to managing an emergency.
It pairs with Emergency First Response, which covers CPR, first aid and the care of an injured person until help arrives. EFR takes a day and Rescue Diver three to four; some dive centres run them as one combined course. You need an Advanced Open Water or PADI Adventure Diver certification to enrol. The instructor, all equipment and certification are included.
